Week 35

The Babe:
This week the final touches are being added to our mini-masterpiece and most of the development is going to packing on the pounds, this is more the truth than I care for! While babe's movements are supposed to be becoming less jerky, there is still that final somersault in the womb soon—to make it to the head-down position for birth. Other fascinating facts:our little Karate Kid can't quite pack the punch it used to due to the limited space inside the womb these days, at least this is what the experts say, I however, still experience something altogether different! The extra layer of fat our babe is adding will create those cute dimples on the babe's elbows and knees. The liver has begun processing waste products. The babe's nails are growing so long they may curl over the tips of those tiny fingers and toes before a pair of clippers ever meet them. The babe SHOULD be about 5½ pounds and over 18 inches long, our babe however is over 7 pounds ALREADY!!

Me:
We met with the doctor yesterday after the ultrasound, and he was less impressed with the size as we were. I guess I am still in for the long hull...and just might get my c-section after all!

Ben:
Also felt some disappointment with the lack of enthusiasm from the doctor and the fact that we have to keep waiting. Although we are not ready for the babe to be on the outside, we are not ready to keep it on the inside either!

Mary Alice:
Crawling has brought out a whole new facet of her independent girlfriend! She wants to do nothing else but crawl...and you better not get in her way or try to pick her up! Her favorite spot is pacing the upstairs hallway, using her "WalMart" voice and listening to the echo! She is a trip!

Random question but can't find your email. On your sidebar you have linked blogs and it says when they were last updated... how'd you do that?

P.S. It'll be over sooner than you'd like, TRUST me on that one! :)
