A little late...
The Babe:
The babe's head is now resting on the well-formed neck instead of directly on the shoulders. We are beginning to grow eyebrows and eyelashes this week. Which if this babe is anything like their older sister, they will quickly make use of these in their nonverbal communication! Mary Alice is well versed at "giving looks," though she has learned from the master! The hair on the head also begins to grow...potentially! Although the babe's eyes are sealed shut, the ability to sense light is now there. The eyes and ears finally look like real baby features now. Also the babe is practicing sucking and swallowing, which again if they are anything like their older sister there will plenty of hiccups.
Size this week...we now measure nearly 4 inches, about the size of a Kit Kat "finger" and weigh almost 2 ounces.
Me:
Good news, still down 10 lbs and NOT throwing up anymore. Life is settling into a nice pattern. Definitely feel used to and comfortable with the idea of being pregnant and starting to anxiously await the arrival of this little bundle of joy!
Ben:
Starts spring break this week and the nice thing is that both ONU and Wheaton line up this year. His plan is to tackle some school work and maybe work a little on the house...an of course spend some quality time with his girls.
Mary Alice:
Had a check up with Dr. Andrew this week and things are still looking great!! We are in a current state of "normal" baby issues...LOVE IT!! We have our first cough and chest congestion this week, but she is strong enough to cough and clear her throat...something she was not always able to do. Oh and last night we learned MAK hearts TUNA NOODLE CASSEROLE!!
