For the last two years on Halloween Ben and I have gone out to dinner. This was mostly my pushing because I was not about to buy candy for twenty-something "fellas from the hood" who don't even dress up but expect you to give them candy!
Well, this year we have Mary Alice, who does not venture to public places yet (thank you swine flu), therefore, we were home for the festivities. I did take proper precautions and did NOT turn on our porch light, signifying that we were NOT passing out candy! I have said it once and I will say it again kids these days are lacking common sense and manners...for the off porch light meant NOTHING to them. Thankfully my mom had brought us down some candy the week before, for said purpose, and it got passed out. Although, there were still kids lacking costumes and failing to at least say "trick-or-treat." This had all lead up to a ringing of the doorbell, that lead to me going to the door and seeing no one, resulting in my bad attitude about how RUDE kids are these days, that prompted Ben to finally go to the door and notice that in fact there was something on the porch. He opened the door to find a crying ladybug who in all the time of my ranting had fallen over from her sitting and happy position to a toppled and crying position. So, my apologies Nora!!
There was no trick-or-treating this year...we don't even have teeth! But Nora came over and we took pictures in our costumes.







Hey, that pumpkin and that costume took me long enough that we were going to get pictures with the two projects together...no matter how much she HATED that mask!!
