Third Week photos

Week three has been a little more of a challenge! MAK has become a bit of a crabby pants in the late afternoons and evenings...until she finally goes to bed for the night. According to friends and books, babies go through a growth spurt during week three. That is our current diagnosis, that and the baby acne which she is really upset about...mom did give her a few things...though I wish acne was not one of them!!

Here is Mary Alice in her new Sunday dress (thank you Sarah for your excellent taste in clothes), which was a big hit at church and Dad couldn't stop telling her how beautiful she was!!
I have told you before about MAK and her way with nonverbal communication (another piece of maternal inheritance). Well, these are Mary Alice's true feelings of "tummy time!"
Our precious little glow worm loves to be swaddled and is already a preferred side sleeper!! Oh, and newest development...also a snorer (paternal trait)!

Then last Friday we had an Arbor Day celebration with our woodland friends in the vibrating bouncy seat...HUGE fun. Though no trees were planted (being as we had no trees lying around to plant) MAK and I decided that time with woodland friends was close enough to the outdoors for our little celebration!!
Finally, again with mom giving her another odd trait. So far the only good trait has been the eyes, as expressive as they already are and the lack of eyelids when they are open, they turn out pretty good according to her Dad! If you will notice on her right cheek there is a small dimple and on the left NOTHING!! The rare one sided dimple...maternal characteristic passed down to another generation!

Since you love the dress so much...Nora Kate might be willing to give her 'hand me down' 3 and 6 month of the same dress to little Mary Alice :)
